Senior Product Security Engineer in USA

Responsibilities

  • Perform application penetration testing across web applications, APIs, and thick clients.
  • Perform internal, external, and cloud-service penetration testing across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
  • Conduct threat modeling and source-code reviews.
  • Triage security findings from SAST, SCA, IAST, and DAST tools when needed.
  • Partner with engineering teams to prioritize and remediate vulnerabilities and integrate security best practices into development.
  • Build AI- and MCP-enabled, context-aware security guidance and automation, including collaborative agentic AI systems.
  • Produce high-quality security assessment reports and services on schedule.
  • Develop repeatable penetration-testing methodologies and contribute to a proactive product security roadmap.
  • Mentor junior teammates and help mature security practices.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of relevant penetration testing, product security, and application security experience.
  • At least 2 years securing Java, Python, and/or JavaScript web applications.
  • Strong working knowledge of at least two programming or scripting languages.
  • Experience with advanced security tools and techniques for simulating real-world attacks.
  • Familiarity with OSSTMM, OWASP, SAMM, NIST Special Publications, and PTES.
  • Experience testing against PCI, FISMA, HIPAA, FedRAMP, or HITRUST compliance frameworks.
  • Experience securing the SDLC and DevOps processes and triaging security incidents.
  • Experience with AI security tooling, context-aware SSDLC automation, AI privacy and governance, and collaborative agentic AI systems.
  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent certification and experience, or equivalent related working experience.
  • Preferred qualifications include OSCP, OSWE, or CRTP certification; red/purple team operations; Python, Java, and/or JavaScript development; containerized cloud security assessments; and familiarity with the EU AI Act, SAIF, and ISO 42001.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to mentor teammates.

Salary: $168k - $210k/yr
