Responsibilities

  • Develop Python automation for security processes and secure-by-design CI/CD controls.
  • Design and implement security controls for containerized production environments.
  • Deploy and manage Semgrep, Trivy, Burp Suite, and other product security testing tools for SAST, DAST, and SCA analysis.
  • Review technical designs, lead threat models, and educate developers on secure coding practices.
  • Conduct and automate vulnerability, threat, and exploitability assessments and drive actionable remediation.
  • Investigate customer-reported security issues and incidents, coordinating with Engineering and IT Security to validate and track fixes.
  • Work with Sales and Support to address customer concerns about security exposure and architecture.
  • Perform manual and AI-assisted code reviews in Python, Go, and Node.js.
  • Develop systemic prevention measures by determining the root causes of vulnerabilities and automating safeguards.

Requirements

  • 5–7 years of experience in Product Security or Application Security roles.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Fluency in Python for building security automation.
  • Deep understanding of Linux containers, including internals and security isolation.
  • Experience with Git-based collaboration and CI/CD integration using Jenkins, Harness, or GitHub Actions.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes orchestration is strongly preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with Semgrep, Trivy, Burp Suite, or similar security tools.
  • Ability to reproduce vulnerabilities in a lab environment and conduct manual code reviews.
  • Experience reviewing Python, Go, and Node.js code for issues such as broken access control and insecure business logic.
  • Ability to work independently on complex technical tasks and escalate architectural decisions appropriately.
  • Strong communication skills for guiding teams and handling complex customer and stakeholder conversations.
