Responsibilities

Champion shift-left testing and embed quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
Design, implement, and maintain automated testing frameworks across web, API, and mobile platforms.
Develop testing strategies spanning unit, integration, API, end-to-end, accessibility, exploratory, performance, security, and reliability testing.
Partner with engineers, product managers, and designers to identify risks early and improve testability.
Coach and mentor engineers on quality engineering, automation, and testing practices.
Improve quality standards, tooling, processes, and automated testing quality gates in CI/CD pipelines.
Promote shared ownership of quality so teams can build, test, and release software confidently.

Requirements

Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
Extensive experience implementing shift-left and quality engineering methodologies in agile product development environments.
Strong quality engineering experience across frontend, backend, API, mobile, and end-to-end testing.
Experience with Cypress, Playwright, Cucumber, Postman, CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, and GitHub.
Strong understanding of software architecture, quality risks, and testability considerations.
Proven ability to influence engineering teams and coach developers without direct authority.
Strong communication, collaboration, stakeholder management, and organisational skills.
Familiarity with non-functional testing, including performance, security, accessibility, and reliability testing.
Familiarity with AI-assisted software development, AI testing tools, and validating AI-generated code is optional but highly regarded.
