Senior QA Engineer, Client Interfaces in USA new

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end test strategy across the Console, CLIs, Terraform provider, and MCP servers.
  • Build Playwright E2E suites, Go integration and acceptance tests, Terraform plan/apply/destroy lifecycle tests, and contract tests for generated API clients.
  • Develop automation frameworks with parallel execution, flakiness reduction, and GitHub Actions CI integration.
  • Define quality gates and release criteria with engineering and product teams.
  • Use AI agents to generate test suites, review test assertions, and triage failures.
  • Perform exploratory testing covering micro-interactions, empty states, error copy, accessibility, upgrade paths, and documentation.
  • Coach software engineers on test design through code reviews and pairing.
  • Establish measurable quality criteria across customer-facing product surfaces.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in quality engineering, test automation, or SDET roles on customer-facing products.
  • Experience building a TypeScript automation framework from scratch and running it in CI.
  • Knowledge of parallelization, retries, network interception, and test flakiness reduction.
  • Comfort testing HTTP APIs, CLIs, and infrastructure tooling.
  • Willingness to learn Go and Terraform provider acceptance testing.
  • Daily familiarity with AI coding and testing tools such as Claude Code or similar agents.
  • Ability to evaluate AI-generated tests and teach others how to use AI testing tools effectively.
  • Strong exploratory testing, written communication, bug reporting, test planning, and release documentation skills.

Salary: $170k - $205k/yr
