Responsibilities

  • Own the release QA process from submission readiness through first-party certification and launch testing.
  • Drive compliance testing for age ratings, EULAs, regional requirements, and platform policies with partner FQA teams.
  • Define platform testing, compliance, regression, and release-readiness best practices.
  • Align test plans with platform certification requirements and live player needs.
  • Serve as the QA expert for App Store, Google Play, and console submission processes.
  • Establish release quality metrics and use data to guide decisions with partners.
  • Lead and mentor QA engineers, including reviewing test suites and monitoring execution.
  • Coordinate external testing vendors and ensure their work meets Riot’s quality standards.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to improve asset and build delivery pipelines for QA.
  • Represent player needs in product readiness discussions and communicate quality risks and recommendations.
  • Provide senior leadership with transparent quality metrics and release-readiness updates.
  • Influence prioritization with production and engineering partners.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of software or game QA experience with multiple live-environment product launches.
  • Experience with platform compliance and certification submissions.
  • Experience monitoring post-launch metrics such as Crash Rate, ANR, and Update Failure Rate to identify production incident root causes.
  • Familiarity with domestic game publishing policies and Apple and Google platform submission guidelines.
  • Deep involvement in automating game packaging, incremental resource updates, and build generation.
  • Deep understanding of game hot-update mechanisms and associated risks.
  • Ability to coach junior QA teammates and influence across teams.
  • Experience owning vendor relationships and delivering through external partners.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder alignment skills.
  • Fluent in Mandarin and English.
  • Preferred experience with mobile automated build pipelines.
  • Preferred QA experience across mobile, console, and PC platforms.
  • Preferred exposure to age ratings, first-party submissions, and regional compliance.
  • Preferred certifications include ISTQB Foundation Level, ISTQB Agile Tester, ICAgile Agile Testing, ISTQB Expert Level, ISTQB Advanced Test Manager, or ICAgile Test Expert.
