Responsibilities

Design and execute test plans for OS-level updates, container deployments, platform upgrades, and other infrastructure changes.
Validate server sizing and production-bound performance through load, stress, and soak testing.
Test containerized application deployments for correctness, resource behavior, and rollback safety.
Build and maintain test automation and monitoring scripts to validate infrastructure health and deployment outcomes.
Collaborate with systems, DevOps, and application engineering teams to define infrastructure acceptance criteria.
Document test plans, test results, defects, and qualification outcomes for technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

5+ years of hands-on Linux administration experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux, including system administration, package management, systemd, and shell scripting.
Experience building, running, troubleshooting, and validating Docker containers, with working knowledge of Kubernetes or OpenShift orchestration.
Solid QA and testing experience designing test plans and cases, executing structured test cycles, and tracking defects through resolution.
Experience validating CI/CD pipelines and automated build and deployment processes.
Working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, and VPN concepts for testing connectivity, access, and security requirements.
Scripting ability in Bash and/or Python for test harnesses and repetitive validation automation.
Experience with performance and load testing tools such as JMeter, Locust, or k6.
Familiarity with Git and issue tracking systems such as Jira or Azure.
Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills across operating system, network, and application layers.
Clear written communication and ability to produce test and defect documentation for non-specialists.
Preferred qualifications include industrial or OT/SCADA testing, deeper Kubernetes/OpenShift operations, Helm, Ansible, Terraform, RHEL certification, monitoring and observability tools, security testing, virtualization, cloud platforms, database testing, load balancers or reverse proxies, and energy or critical-infrastructure experience.
