Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks using Java, Cucumber/BDD, and RestAssured.
  • Build and execute tests across APIs, event and messaging systems, data layers, and applicable user interfaces.
  • Validate end-to-end post-trade workflows covering settlement, positions, cash, corporate actions, options, margin, ACATS transfers, and cost basis/tax lots.
  • Automate reconciliation tests between internal systems and clearing or custodian platforms, validating positions, balances, and transactions.
  • Validate downstream outputs such as trade confirmations, statements, and CAT/FINRA regulatory reports.
  • Create test plans, scenarios, regression suites, migration tests, and parallel-run validation.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD test pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
  • Perform performance testing, analyze results, troubleshoot defects, and improve test coverage.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Operations, and Compliance on testing strategy and quality improvements.
  • Participate in test reviews, bug triage, and production issue analysis.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of QA experience in financial services, including direct exposure to post-trade, clearing, or back-office platforms.
  • Strong hands-on programming experience in Java.
  • Automation experience with Cucumber/BDD and RestAssured.
  • Experience testing REST APIs and event-driven systems, including Kafka; RabbitMQ or SQS experience is a plus.
  • Strong SQL and PostgreSQL skills for data validation and reconciliation.
  • Working knowledge of settlement cycles, corporate actions, margin, options lifecycles, and books-and-records requirements.
  • Experience with AWS, Git, and Jenkins.
  • Familiarity with JIRA and test management tools such as Allure TestOps.
  • Playwright and TypeScript experience for UI automation is preferred.
  • Experience with clearing-system conversion or platform migration is preferred.
  • Exposure to FIX protocol, crypto asset workflows, or Databricks is a plus.
