Responsibilities

Lead the design, development, implementation, and support of secure software delivery toolchains for next-generation autonomous systems.
Manage infrastructure, operating systems, orchestration platforms, and application-layer systems across modern ICT environments.
Contribute to Nix-managed build and deployment systems and provide limited support for ICT hardware systems.
Implement software-toolchain security best practices and support systems across their full lifecycle.
Act as a technical owner for software services, including stakeholder engagement, requirements, roadmaps, design, implementation, sustainment, and evolution.
Mentor software engineers and help build team cohesion and technical capacity.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
Experience in a senior role delivering software and/or hardware systems with mature software delivery, security, and operations capabilities.
Experience designing, implementing, and operating horizontally scaled cloud technologies.
Experience troubleshooting and analyzing remotely deployed software systems.
Ability to work across the software stack and lifecycle from design through sustainment.
Ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Security Clearance.
Preferred experience writing cloud-native services in C++, Rust, Python, and/or Go.
Preferred experience with NixOS, the Nix programming language, Terraform, Kubernetes, Kubernetes cluster maintenance, and cloud or hybrid networking.
Preferred systems or application programming skills involving algorithms, data structures, concurrency, and optimization.
