Responsibilities

Evolve RokuOS system software and fundamental platform APIs used by internal systems and external higher-level SDKs.
Develop high-performance, ultra-reliable software using C++ and extensive changes to an existing codebase.
Design and implement APIs that enable channel partners to use modernized Roku platform capabilities.
Refactor system software architecture to improve modularity and maintainability without privileged workarounds.
Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure APIs satisfy requirements and platform standards.
Use AI tools and agentic workflows to accelerate development, improve code quality, and scale engineering impact.

Requirements

8+ years of C/C++ software development experience, including firmware, full-stack systems, architecture, and API design.
2+ years of Linux application development experience.
Advanced AI proficiency, including building repeatable agentic workflows, designing autonomous AI agents, and independently completing complex tasks using reasoning and planning.
Experience or comfort with multithreaded and multiprocess development.
Bachelor's and/or master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, self-driven, and detail-oriented approach.
