Senior Software Engineer AI SaaS in Remote new

Responsibilities

  • Architect and evolve backend systems using Scala, Play, Postgres, and AWS.
  • Design and deploy scalable APIs and AI-assisted services.
  • Own feature development end to end from ideation through production.
  • Build frontend features using React, Chakra, Storybook, and modern state-management tools.
  • Develop agent-driven development workflows and internal tooling, prompts, and engineering systems.
  • Use Claude Code and Codex to accelerate implementation, debugging, and refactoring across parallel coding sessions.
  • Optimize frontend, backend, and AI-assisted pipeline performance.
  • Define best practices for AI-native software development.
  • Eventually lead a small team of two to three engineers.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of software engineering experience.
  • Strong backend systems experience with Scala or Java, Ruby, or C#.
  • Strong JavaScript and React experience.
  • Experience building and scaling SaaS products.
  • Deep familiarity with AI coding tools including Claude Code, Codex, or Cursor.
  • Experience with multi-session, agent-driven workflows and AI-assisted development.
  • Experience designing systems rather than only implementing features.
  • Experience building internal developer tools, prompt systems, reusable AI workflows, or agent-like systems is beneficial.
  • Experience with functional programming is a bonus.
  • Excellent written communication and comfort working autonomously in an async-first environment.
