Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain native Android applications using Kotlin and Java.
  • Own the full software development lifecycle, including operational support and incident resolution.
  • Lead architectural design decisions with a customer-centric approach.
  • Improve project scalability, performance, and delivery of new product value.
  • Set team standards and provide technical and procedural guidance.
  • Conduct code reviews and develop teammates through mentorship, pairing, and training.
  • Lead initiatives independently while evaluating and course-correcting technical approaches.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 5 years of engineering experience, including at least 3 years building native Android applications with Kotlin and Java.
  • Broad and deep knowledge of Android architectural components such as Room, LiveData, Jetpack, and Compose, as well as MVVM architecture.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and a strong understanding of multithreading, concurrent programming, and performance optimization.
  • Proven ability to develop and ship complex, high-quality, performant, and reliable software products.
  • Working knowledge of software engineering techniques, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, plus experience leading initiatives.
