Senior Software Engineer in USA

Responsibilities

  • Build and ship components of multi-agent systems and RAG pipelines for portfolio company engagements.
  • Contribute to prompt engineering, tool design, and deployment for production AI systems.
  • Write and run evaluations, defining success criteria before implementation.
  • Translate client requirements into technical tasks with support from the delivery pod.
  • Build observability into shipped systems so quality is measurable.
  • At the Senior level, independently own an agentic pipeline, RAG system, or evaluation framework end to end.
  • Present architecture decisions to internal and client stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Solid Python and/or TypeScript/React fundamentals and the ability to reason about framework behavior.
  • Hands-on exposure to LLM application development, including RAG, tool use, prompt engineering, or agent orchestration.
  • Genuine experience using AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or similar.
  • Ability to work through ambiguity and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness and ability to learn quickly in a client-facing, consulting-style environment.
  • Preferred: finance or private equity exposure, including FP&A, GL data, or ERP systems.
  • Preferred: familiarity with LangChain, LangGraph, AutoGen, DSPy, or similar orchestration frameworks.
  • Preferred: public technical work such as a GitHub repository, side project, or blog post.
  • Preferred: prior internship, co-op, or junior client- or user-facing experience.

Salary: $110k - $200k/yr
