Senior Software Engineer in USA

Responsibilities

  • Build distributed systems that update global Bloomberg Terminal installations continuously, securely, and silently.
  • Develop runtime infrastructure that resolves unique per-user dependency graphs in real time.
  • Build full-stack tools for precise software rollout control.
  • Solve dependency management, rollback, versioning, and real-time targeting challenges.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and help define future software delivery capabilities.
  • Contribute to impactful cross-team projects and Bloomberg’s C++ and JavaScript communities.

Requirements

  • At least 4 years of software development experience using C++.
  • Experience designing scalable and maintainable distributed systems.
  • Good knowledge of software development lifecycle best practices.
  • Preferred experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, Go, and Python.
  • Interest in leading impactful cross-team projects and keeping current with technology trends.
  • Enthusiasm for working with C++ and JavaScript communities within Bloomberg and across the industry.

Benefits

  • Annual base salary range of $160,000-$240,000, plus benefits and bonus.
  • Benefits may include merit increases, incentive compensation for exempt roles, paid holidays, paid time off, medical, dental, vision, short- and long-term disability, 401(k) with match, life insurance, and wellness programs.
