Responsibilities

Lead the design, development, and delivery of high-scale full-stack applications.
Own frontend architecture for web and mobile products while building and extending backend services.
Define architectural vision and make technical trade-offs for complex, ambiguous engineering challenges.
Build high-performance frontend interfaces, backend microservices, and high-throughput GraphQL APIs.
Drive cross-team technical initiatives, manage dependencies, and align architectural strategy.
Mentor engineers, lead code reviews, establish testing strategies, and raise engineering standards.
Partner with product and business stakeholders to clarify requirements and address technical risks.
Optimize applications for scalability, efficiency, resilience, security, and maintainability.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
5+ years of experience building and shipping production software.
Deep expertise with TypeScript, JavaScript, React, frontend architecture, component design, state management, and hooks.
Experience with React Native and willingness to work with native Swift/iOS and Kotlin/Android development.
Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, responsive design, and cross-browser and cross-device compatibility.
Experience optimizing frontend performance through code splitting, lazy loading, asset optimization, rendering optimization, and Core Web Vitals.
Hands-on frontend testing experience with tools such as Jest and React Testing Library.
Working knowledge of Java and Spring Boot backend services and experience integrating APIs, including GraphQL.
Experience using AI development tools such as coding assistants, agentic IDEs, or LLM-based testing and review tools.
Proven technical leadership through mentoring, setting technical direction, and improving engineering standards.
Preferred experience with design systems, reusable component libraries, WCAG accessibility practices, relational databases, Kafka, GraphQL federation, Gradle, Buildkite, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and Terraform.

Salary: $138k - $173k/yr
