Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end projects across backend services, APIs, and data pipelines, including experimentation, development, and production rollout.
Architect scalable, reliable, performant, and cost-efficient systems supporting high-throughput marketing operations.
Design abstractions and technical improvements that reduce complexity and improve reuse across the codebase.
Partner with Marketing and Product stakeholders to shape requirements, features, technical direction, and product strategy.
Mentor junior engineers through code reviews, technical guidance, and onboarding, while improving team productivity through automation and process improvements.

Requirements

5–8 years of software engineering experience with expert-level Python proficiency for scalable backend services, APIs, and data pipelines.
Proven experience leading complete projects through architecture, implementation, experimentation, and production rollout.
Deep expertise with Snowflake, SQL, ETL processes, Airflow, and DBT.
Experience designing for performance, scalability, robustness, and comprehensive observability including logging, metrics, and tracing.
Strong product thinking and ability to research problems, influence product direction, and balance technical and business trade-offs.
Excellent communication, mentoring, and cross-team alignment skills.
Preferred: experience with automation frameworks, reusable abstractions, Google Ads, Facebook Ads, Snapchat Ads, conversion tracking, digital marketing operations, and performance marketing KPIs.
Preferred: experience with cloud cost optimization, chaos engineering, disaster recovery, security-by-design, incident response, technical debt management, and legacy modernization.
Preferred: experience using AI tools to improve productivity and contributing to AI-assisted development infrastructure.

Salary: $166k - $210k/yr
