Responsibilities

Drive complex system design in collaboration with the architecture team.
Perform code reviews, mentor developers, and promote engineering best practices.
Make technical design and implementation decisions and help guide engineering vision.
Define requirements with stakeholders and convert them into scalable microservices APIs.
Design, build, maintain, and improve sustainable business application systems.
Develop new functionality and maintain existing software components.
Support compliance initiatives and complete required PHI, HIPAA, policy, and security training.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a comparable program, or equivalent qualification.
7+ years of overall software development experience, preferably building secure and scalable web applications with Java.
Experience with object-oriented programming in Java and frameworks such as Spring and Hibernate.
Experience with cloud technologies, with AWS preferred.
Experience with microservice enterprise architecture, cross-platform integration, and heterogeneous environments.
Strong relational database design and optimization skills, preferably with MySQL or PostgreSQL.
Experience with software development lifecycle activities including configuration, change control, release, and deployment.
Frontend experience with React, Sass, and JavaScript is a plus.
Knowledge of Docker or container-oriented technologies, REST APIs, event-driven microservices, Linux, and frontend technologies.
Strong teamwork, analytical, organizational, communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.

The listed base compensation range is $137,500–$171,900 USD.

Salary: $138k - $172k/yr
