Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and deploy complex software solutions and services.
Lead technical design discussions, implementation approaches, architecture decisions, and delivery of complex features across multiple contributors.
Own the design, delivery, scalability, performance, reliability, and ongoing technical health of assigned systems.
Investigate and resolve complex production issues through root-cause analysis.
Partner with DevOps and Platform teams on reliability, monitoring, observability, and operational improvements.
Conduct code and design reviews, mentor Software Engineers, and provide technical guidance.
Drive modernization, technical debt reduction, code quality, security, testing, and maintainability improvements.
Use and promote AI-assisted development tools and agentic workflows for coding, testing, debugging, documentation, and code review.
Collaborate with Product Management, Architecture, Support, DevOps, and Engineering teams on planning, estimation, execution, and technical decisions.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
7+ years of professional software development experience.
Strong TypeScript fluency and significant experience building production web applications and services.
Strong full-stack experience with Node.js, TypeScript/JavaScript, and React.
Experience designing and supporting scalable production systems, relational databases such as MySQL, and Docker.
Understanding of networking concepts for modern web and distributed applications.
Strong system design, troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Experience leading technical projects and mentoring engineers.
Preferred experience includes cloud platforms, serverless applications, distributed systems, Azure, Azure Functions, AWS Lambda, event-driven architectures, messaging, asynchronous processing, Service Bus, NoSQL, MongoDB, Redis, CI/CD, application security, observability, Kubernetes, and modern UI/design systems such as Material UI/MUI.
PHP, AngularJS, Java, or C# experience is beneficial or a plus.
