Senior Software Engineer, Billing Agents in USA

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end features across claims, appointments, eligibility, and payments-posting surfaces from design through production rollout.
  • Build production-ready frontend and backend code with meaningful tests, clean interfaces, scalable data models, and support for filtering and pagination over large datasets.
  • Develop safe bulk operations, unified claim activity timelines, and AI-powered workflow improvements for billing users.
  • Build dashboards, logging, alerting, and other observability practices into features to detect and root-cause production issues quickly.
  • Partner with product, design, billing operations, and users to improve workflow usability and outcomes.
  • Review code and designs for correctness, performance, and consistency, and help shape component, API, data-fetching, testing, and observability standards.
  • Help onboard and level up teammates while contributing to the team’s technical direction.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience building full-stack applications and shipping end-to-end production features.
  • Strong frontend skills with the ability to build maintainable user interfaces and diagnose rendering issues in data-dense screens.
  • Strong API and data-layer fundamentals, including backend endpoints, filtering, pagination, and reasoning about database queries.
  • Sound technical judgment for feature-level tradeoffs, risk escalation, and avoiding over-engineering.
  • Comfort with monitoring, logging, alerting, debugging, and observability practices.
  • Clear communication, ownership, urgency, and customer focus.
  • Preferred: familiarity with healthcare billing data, EDI X12 transactions, clearinghouses, ERAs/EOBs, and denial codes.
  • Preferred: experience shipping LLM-powered features into production workflows.
  • Preferred: exposure to analytical or OLAP stores alongside transactional databases.
  • Preferred: strong product intuition, UX/UI influence, and experience in regulated industries with attention to security and compliance.

Salary: $180k - $230k/yr
