Senior Software Engineer C++ - Backend in Remote new

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop new features for Jitterbit’s iPaaS and APIM platforms.
  • Own projects from design through deployment while ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
  • Build large-scale distributed and multi-tenant SaaS applications.
  • Work with engineers, product managers, and operations in a distributed remote-first team.
  • Debug and improve backend systems operating in a 24x7x365 environment.
  • Mentor other engineers and contribute to maintainable, understandable code.
  • Make data-driven technical decisions and help shape integration and automation products.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience building large-scale distributed applications.
  • Strong experience building multi-tenant SaaS applications.
  • Strong Java experience and substantial experience with SQL Server and MySQL.
  • Experience with microservices and cloud-based architectures or design patterns.
  • Strong problem-solving, debugging, analytical, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Excellent JavaScript, CSS, and HTML authoring skills.
  • Proficiency with JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, Node.js, or Go.
  • Familiarity with application deployment using Docker and/or Kubernetes.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services such as DynamoDB, S3, or CloudFront.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a distributed team.
