Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain CSDM-aligned CMDB data models, CI classes, relationships, lifecycle states, governance rules, and automation.
  • Develop and optimize ServiceNow CMDB capabilities using Business Rules, Script Includes, Flow Designer, UI Policies, CMDB Workspace, Discovery, and Service Mapping.
  • Build and maintain Discovery patterns, schedules, probes, MID Server configurations, and integrations with enterprise systems.
  • Define Identification and Reconciliation Engine rules, normalization processes, deduplication strategies, and trusted system-of-record integrations.
  • Monitor and improve CMDB health KPIs including completeness, correctness, and compliance through certification, duplicate detection, and reconciliation automation.
  • Align CMDB governance with ITIL incident, change, problem, and asset lifecycle processes.
  • Implement automation and AI-driven capabilities for CI onboarding, reconciliation, service mapping enrichment, anomaly detection, and data-gap identification.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, application, asset, procurement, ITSM, ITOM, SAM, APM, and security stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior developers.

Requirements

  • Strong technical expertise in ServiceNow CMDB development, architecture, Discovery, Service Mapping, integrations, data governance, and CMDB health.
  • Experience designing CSDM-aligned data models, CI class structures, relationships, lifecycle models, and governance standards.
  • Experience with ServiceNow Business Rules, Script Includes, Flow Designer, UI Policies, CMDB Workspace, Discovery, Service Mapping, and MID Server configurations.
  • Experience integrating CMDB data with systems such as SCCM, Intune, AWS, Azure, and monitoring tools.
  • Knowledge of Identification and Reconciliation Engine rules, normalization, reconciliation, deduplication, and data-quality management.
  • Ability to perform root-cause analysis, define scalable solutions, collaborate across technical domains, and mentor junior developers.
  • Experience or familiarity with Now Assist for CMDB, Predictive Intelligence, AIOps, AI-driven Service Graph Connectors, and ML-based data ingestion.
