Responsibilities

Design, implement, and own data-intensive, high-performance, scalable platform components.
Build, deploy, and optimize streaming infrastructure and systems supporting analytics and machine learning.
Collaborate with engineers, architects, and cross-functional partners on project design and implementation.
Participate in design reviews, code reviews, analysis, performance tuning, and production debugging.
Coach and mentor engineers while helping scale the engineering organization.

Requirements

At least 4 years of software development experience.
Proficiency in at least one programming language and comfort with backend languages including Java, TypeScript, Ruby, Go, or Python.
Experience with at least one of MySQL, Redis, or PostgreSQL.
Knowledge of computer science fundamentals and strong API design skills.
Experience working on geographically distributed teams and delivering work incrementally.
Comfort with React or similar frontend UI stacks, or willingness to learn.
Preferred experience with Kinesis, Kafka, Flink, Spark, Beam, Snowflake, Hadoop, Kubernetes, or Mesos.
Preferred experience with security, encryption, identity management, authentication infrastructure, public cloud providers, large-scale data integration, batch and online systems, or distributed systems.
The employee must be physically located on U.S. soil; there is no citizenship requirement.

Salary: $147k - $227k/yr
