Responsibilities

  • Own data platform features end to end, including design, production deployment, monitoring, data quality, and production support.
  • Design and build high-scale data products such as identity and audience solutions.
  • Implement Big Data solutions and contribute to platform infrastructure and architecture.
  • Use AI to accelerate development and operations and help build AI-driven data platform capabilities.
  • Lead and mentor developers through complex projects.
  • Research core technologies and integrations with external data providers and services.
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, data providers, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of software development experience.
  • Experience building and optimizing data pipelines, ETLs, and streaming systems with Spark, Kafka, Airflow, HDFS, or S3.
  • 3+ years of experience with Java or Scala and hands-on Python experience.
  • Strong SQL skills and hands-on experience with Vertica or a similar columnar or MPP database.
  • Experience optimizing the performance of high-scale systems.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent degree.
  • Large-scale graph processing or graph algorithm experience is advantageous.
  • Kubernetes, GitLab, and Grafana experience is advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative, low-ego approach.
