Senior Software Engineer - Devops in Others

Responsibilities

  • Write Python services, automation, and infrastructure tooling.
  • Design, migrate, upgrade, scale, and operate production Kubernetes clusters using EKS or GKE.
  • Manage multi-environment and multi-region infrastructure on AWS and/or GCP.
  • Implement deployment strategies including rolling, canary, and blue/green releases.
  • Maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform or an equivalent tool.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for large monorepos and support web applications, background workers, ETL, and batch pipelines.
  • Improve release safety, rollback mechanisms, and developer velocity.
  • Design service telemetry using metrics, logs, traces, Grafana, Prometheus, and OpenTelemetry or equivalent tools.
  • Configure PagerDuty alerts, on-call workflows, incident response processes, SLIs, SLOs, and service health indicators.
  • Support GenAI-powered services and implement observability for LLM latency, throughput, errors, infrastructure reliability, and capacity.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in SRE, platform engineering, infrastructure, or backend engineering roles.
  • Strong Python proficiency for services, pipelines, and automation.
  • Hands-on production experience with Kubernetes and AWS or GCP.
  • Knowledge of Linux systems, networking including DNS, VPCs, and routing, and distributed systems.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, monorepos, and infrastructure as code.
  • Experience building or operating observability and alerting systems.
  • Experience with Airflow or large-scale ETL and data systems.
  • Experience supporting GenAI or ML infrastructure in production.
  • Prior ownership of on-call responsibilities for production systems.
