Senior Software Engineer - Distributed Systems in USA new

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and iterate on distributed stream processing and data ingestion pipelines.
  • Develop services and applications to parse, persist, query, and analyze diagnostic and usage data.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with data scientists and engineers to capture requirements and validate design decisions.
  • Contribute across device data collection, compute, query, and visualization interfaces.
  • Profile and optimize large-scale compute and data pipelines.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience working on large distributed systems, ideally on a public cloud platform.
  • Extensive experience with container-based orchestration and platforms such as Kubernetes, EC2, and GCP.
  • Practical knowledge of queue and stream consumers such as Flink and Kafka.
  • Highly proficient with agentic development techniques.
  • Commitment to CI/CD.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Production query engine experience with Presto, Trino, or Athena is a plus.
