Responsibilities

Discover and conceptualize AI-powered workflow enhancements with designers, artists, and engineers.
Define the future vision for AI-based developer tooling and workflows with engineering leaders.
Scope, design, implement, and test AI/ML-based solutions for game development.
Apply current AI/ML developments to developer- and player-facing problems.
Model best practices for tools architecture and implementation.
Advance adoption of AI/ML tools through mentorship, documentation, training, and advocacy.
Mentor junior engineers as the team scales.

Requirements

5+ years of professional software engineering experience, including delivering live or shipped products at scale.
2+ years of experience working on game development tools.
Experience with Unreal Engine and production-ready AI/ML systems.
B.S. in computer science or equivalent experience.
Proficiency in C++.
Ability to navigate ambiguous problems with cross-disciplinary stakeholders and communicate with technical and non-technical audiences.
Preferred experience with reinforcement learning, imitation learning, decision-making under uncertainty, LLMs, AI planning, or multi-agent systems.
Preferred experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, pandas, AAA game tooling, AI/ML-driven content tools, client and backend integrations, Maya, Blender, engineering practices, and distributed teams.
