Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain Bitwarden’s core front-end codebase across the web client, desktop client, and browser extension.
  • Develop features related to reports, localization, generators, file import/export, risk insights, and event logs.
  • Aggregate and encrypt or decrypt large datasets to create security reports.
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure the core codebase supports new features.
  • Plan, estimate, and independently deliver new work and bug fixes.
  • Participate in code reviews, share technical knowledge, and occasionally contribute fixes submitted by the user community.

Requirements

  • 6–10 years of software engineering experience.
  • Demonstrated experience building complex Angular applications.
  • Experience with reactive programming using RxJS or similar libraries.
  • Experience with front-end state management systems.
  • Experience with Tailwind CSS for component styling.
  • Strong collaboration, adaptability, communication, problem-solving, and solution-finding skills.
  • Openness to and enthusiasm for open source and improving internet security.
  • Familiarity with modern encryption concepts is a plus.
