Senior Software Engineer, Frontend in Canada new

Responsibilities

  • Own and deliver quarterly team goals while leading engineers through ambiguous, open-ended problems.
  • Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics on ideation, technical constraints, risks, and trade-offs.
  • Identify and lead resolution of project, process, technology, and business issues.
  • Create and monitor metrics, support system availability, and participate in on-call and keep-the-lights-on efforts.
  • Set and improve code review and design standards, and advocate for engineering quality through writing and tech talks.
  • Provide feedback and guidance to develop talent on the team.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience developing and architecting web applications using declarative UI frameworks such as React or Vue.
  • Proficiency with JavaScript and TypeScript.
  • Experience defining technical plans for significant features or system components using elegant, simple, and extensible designs.
  • Ability to make significant changes in large codebases safely using appropriate tools and practices.
  • Demonstrated ownership of professional growth and proactive feedback-seeking.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for collaboration with a global engineering team.
