Responsibilities

  • Design and execute platform-level software projects from conception through launch in collaboration with senior engineers.
  • Build and maintain backend services, APIs, and data models that power portal experiences.
  • Build reusable frontend libraries, design systems, and developer tooling for product teams.
  • Own infrastructure concerns including deployment automation, observability, and CI/CD pipelines for portal applications.
  • Drive frontend performance, accessibility, and quality standards.
  • Influence technical direction through RFCs, architecture decisions, and platform migrations.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to code reviews, documentation, knowledge sharing, and professional development.

Requirements

  • At least 6 years of software engineering experience delivering complex, cross-team projects end to end.
  • Deep expertise in React and modern frontend architecture, including state management, performance tuning, build tooling, and design systems.
  • Strong backend proficiency in Python with Django or TypeScript, including experience designing scalable APIs and data models.
  • Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and operating production systems.
  • Ability to influence technical direction and balance technical debt with feature delivery at the platform level.
  • Experience mentoring engineers and raising engineering quality through reviews, documentation, and knowledge sharing.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for distributed and asynchronous collaboration.
  • Strong computer science fundamentals, data structures knowledge, and performance optimization skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Applied Sciences, Information Systems, or another related engineering field.
  • Preferred qualifications include experience with large-scale web frontend applications, frontend build tools, micro-frontend architecture, web security such as the OWASP Top 10, and AI development tools.
