Responsibilities

Lead the architecture, design, and development of complex, scalable, reliable, and high-performing software systems.
Develop, deploy, and operate maintainable software across front-end, back-end, and database layers.
Collaborate with engineers, technical leaders, product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to translate requirements into technical specifications and deliverables.
Ship interoperable products and systems supporting customer interactions inside and outside the vehicle.
Apply software development standards including code reviews, testing, documentation, and reusable design practices.
Own the successful delivery of complex and large-scale technical efforts while improving customer experience.
Mentor and coach junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
Stay current with emerging technologies and experiment with tools and techniques to improve development processes.
Attend occasional office meetings and events and travel domestically on behalf of the company.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field.
At least 5 years of software development experience, with a focus on back-end technologies.
Proficiency with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Angular, and/or Vue.js.
Experience with back-end technologies such as Go, Node.js, Python, Java, Ruby, and/or Swift.
Knowledge of relational and/or non-relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Redis.
Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and software development best practices.
Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work effectively independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Valid driver’s license.
Preferred experience in manufacturing or automotive environments, consumer-facing applications, RESTful or RPC APIs, microservices, IAM/SSO systems such as Azure, Okta, or Auth0, and AWS development using React, React Native, TypeScript, Go, and/or Python.
