Responsibilities

Break larger projects into tasks, deliver them in phases, and collaborate with engineers to ensure timely delivery.
Build and ship web and mobile application experiences across Affirm’s consumer products.
Design, develop, and launch APIs at scale.
Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics on ideation, technical constraints, risks, and trade-offs.
Create and monitor metrics, escalate issues, and support operational availability, keep-the-lights-on work, and on-call efforts.
Navigate large codebases, debug code, write tested and extensible software, conduct code reviews, and participate in interviews.

Requirements

At least 1.5 years of experience as a software engineer.
Experience shipping web applications with declarative UI frameworks such as React or Vue.
Experience shipping mobile applications using native or cross-platform technologies such as React Native.
Experience designing, developing, and launching APIs at scale using Kotlin or Python.
Ability to translate business problems into solutions spanning multiple software components.
Strong debugging, code review, communication, collaboration, and ownership skills.
A Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
