Senior Software Engineer, Growth in Remote

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute engineering strategies that enable rapid experimentation and data-driven decision-making.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to optimize growth metrics and contribute to core product initiatives.
  • Architect and build scalable onboarding flows, personalization engines, viral loops, and other growth systems.
  • Implement A/B testing and data instrumentation for accurate experiment tracking and measurement.
  • Use automation and machine learning to improve engagement, reduce churn, and personalize experiences.
  • Build clean, documented, pixel-perfect, performant, accessible, and cross-browser-compatible software.
  • Maintain code quality, organization, automation, and continuous delivery practices.
  • Apply best practices for performance, security, and scalability while communicating progress and blockers to stakeholders.
  • Participate effectively in global team meetings, stand-ups, manager 1:1s, feedback, and mentorship.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • At least 5 years of industry experience in frontend or full-stack development building large-scale applications.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript/ES6, TypeScript, React, Redux, HTML, CSS, and at least one backend language such as Ruby/Ruby on Rails, Python, or Node.js.
  • Experience with AWS or GCP, REST APIs, analytics tools, and A/B testing platforms.
  • Familiarity with growth frameworks such as Pirate Metrics and viral loops.
  • Strong UX and product sense, attention to detail, and an ability to build performant, accessible, and scalable interfaces.
  • Experience using AI tools for code generation, debugging, and software development productivity.
  • Preferred experience includes growth work at a startup or scaling product and knowledge of SEO, Braze, HubSpot, or marketing automation.
