Senior Software Engineer - Host Access in USA

Responsibilities

  • Write and own software running across Apple’s server infrastructure.
  • Design, implement, and execute security services and applications.
  • Build software for authorization and access controls at Apple’s scale.
  • Develop secure foundational infrastructure components that protect Apple’s data.
  • Distill ambiguous use cases and requirements into software applications.
  • Partner with teammates and stakeholders on security infrastructure projects.
  • Design and handle systems requiring high performance, scalability, and availability.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience delivering high-quality enterprise software.
  • Experience writing applications in Rust, C++, C, and/or Go.
  • Understanding of the full software development lifecycle.
  • Knowledge of distributed-systems design patterns and security implications.
  • Knowledge of network architecture, server fleet provisioning and configuration, out-of-band management, storage, load balancing, virtualization, and Kubernetes.
  • In-depth knowledge of SSL, TCP/IP, caching solutions, X.509 certificates, and systems application performance tuning.
  • Deep understanding of object-oriented and service-oriented architecture design concepts.
  • Experience with Linux and shell scripts.
  • Ability to work collaboratively on fast-paced projects.
  • BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience.
