Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
  • Build RESTful APIs and event-driven systems supporting business-critical workflows.
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure as code with Salt and Terraform for AWS infrastructure.
  • Build and operate cloud-native systems using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Drive observability, reliability, automation, monitoring, incident response, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
  • Participate in architecture discussions, technical design reviews, code reviews, and engineering best-practice initiatives.
  • Support production systems through on-call participation and incident management.
  • Use and evaluate AI-assisted development tools for coding, testing, debugging, documentation, and code reviews.
  • Mentor and support engineers through technical guidance and knowledge sharing.
  • Collaborate with frontend and cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end product experiences.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience building enterprise-grade applications.
  • Strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot development.
  • Strong expertise with Salt and Terraform for infrastructure as code.
  • Experience designing cloud-native backend systems using RESTful APIs, Docker, Kubernetes, and related container orchestration technologies.
  • Strong understanding of distributed systems, scalability, performance, reliability, and secure software design.
  • Experience with AWS and production support or observability practices.
  • Experience with automated testing and modern DevOps practices.
  • Experience using AI-powered development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, Windsurf, Kiro, or similar platforms.
  • Ability to validate and improve AI-generated code while maintaining quality, security, and maintainability.
  • Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Working knowledge of modern frontend development practices is nice to have.
  • Experience building AI-enabled applications, agents, or automation workflows is nice to have.
