Senior Software Engineer II in Canada

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain scalable full-stack web applications for Cloud Data Ingestion and Data Transformation.
  • Own features end-to-end, including backend systems and front-end experiences.
  • Drive architectural decisions and contribute to technical strategy.
  • Develop systems that process high volumes of data and traffic.
  • Build automated data pipelines, asynchronous processing systems, or ETL applications.
  • Deliver incremental, high-quality software that improves customer success.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of full-stack development experience with a strong focus on scalable web applications.
  • Experience serving as a technical leader and driving architectural decisions.
  • Strong understanding of software design, data structures, and algorithms.
  • Ability to work autonomously and communicate effectively in an agile team environment.
  • Preferred experience building software at scale and handling high volumes of data and traffic.
  • Preferred experience with Kafka, Airflow, Sidekiq, SQS, RabbitMQ, Python/Django, React, Ruby on Rails, Snowflake, microservice architecture, and distributed systems.
  • Familiarity with modern data warehousing, business intelligence, and analytics is preferred.
