Responsibilities

  • Ship end-to-end features across backend services, APIs, iOS, and Android surfaces.
  • Build and operate features for the Aging in Place member segment and adapt them for Things and Pets.
  • Use Claude Code and agentic workflows for specification, coding, testing, refactoring, review, and documentation.
  • Define AI-native engineering practices and playbooks for broader team adoption.
  • Contribute to architecture, code reviews, technical standards, performance, reliability, accessibility, and continuous improvement.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and incident response.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and platform engineers.
  • Mentor team members and help teammates adopt effective AI workflows.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience building and operating high-quality, consumer-scale services.
  • 1+ years of hands-on experience prompting, evaluating, and building with LLMs.
  • Full-stack proficiency across backend services and iOS and/or Android client development.
  • Experience with agentic workflows, prompt engineering, context window management, and MCP/function calling.
  • Experience using AI tooling as a substantive development partner, with accountability for reviewing and operating generated code.
  • Strong ownership, communication, collaboration, and user empathy.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
  • Preferred: experience with IoT, telematics, or embedded/hardware-adjacent systems.
  • Preferred: familiarity with Kafka, Kinesis, or other high-throughput streaming platforms.
  • Preferred: experience with Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, or DataDog.
