Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end delivery of complex software initiatives spanning multiple systems or teams.
Architect and build robust backend services and solve difficult technical problems.
Own project execution from design through rollout, including agentic workflows and automated guardrails.
Provide technical guidance through code reviews, architectural decisions, and engineering best practices.
Mentor junior engineers and support their technical and problem-solving development.
Influence technical strategy, architectural evolution, and adoption of agentic SDLC practices.
Improve reliability, scalability, observability, incident response, tooling, documentation, and code quality.
Communicate complex technical concepts to engineers, product managers, and leadership while managing ambiguity.

Requirements

7+ years of experience delivering complex software systems and solving technical challenges.
Strong backend experience architecting and building services with Python, Flask, and/or FastAPI.
Experience writing comprehensive backend tests, including with Pytest, and maintaining strong test coverage.
Familiarity with React, Next.js, and TypeScript is preferred.
Ability to break complex projects into components or milestones that other engineers can execute.
Demonstrated cross-functional collaboration and motivation to improve service quality, reliability, and performance.
Experience building consumer-facing applications and internal tools.
