Senior Software Engineer in Build in UK

Responsibilities

  • Develop internal tooling for building, testing, and integrating the machine learning software stack.
  • Develop tools and technical processes for software releases.
  • Guide developers on build practices and dependency management.
  • Communicate with developers, technical leads, and software architects about the machine learning software stack.
  • Work with QA and software teams to resolve integration issues.
  • Contribute fixes to the machine learning software stack.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of Python, C++, or a similar programming language.
  • Understanding of build processes and frameworks.
  • Experience working in Linux environments.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Preferred experience with remote caching and execution tools such as Bazel.
  • Preferred experience with build tools such as CMake.
  • Preferred experience with testing frameworks such as PyTest and GoogleTest.
  • Preferred experience with integration tools such as Buildstream.
  • Preferred experience working within the Software Development Lifecycle.
  • Preferred experience building and using containers such as Docker and Podman.
  • Understanding of software architecture patterns.
