Responsibilities

Provide software engineering and development support for the Battlespace Awareness team’s core tools.
Build low-latency or real-time software for mission-critical applications.
Develop software testing, Robot Framework testing, and integration test capabilities.
Help establish ML infrastructure for hyperparameter optimization and performance-regression detection in CI.
Apply machine learning techniques including anomaly detection and explainable ML.
Use GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, and AI coding assistants in the development workflow.

Requirements

Professional experience using one or more of Python, Rust, C++, or C.
Strong software engineering fundamentals, including object-oriented programming, functional programming, and REST API design.
Experience building low-latency or real-time software.
Experience with software testing, Robot Framework testing, and integration test development.
Machine learning background in hyperparameter optimization, anomaly detection, and explainable ML such as Bayesian ML.
Comfort using Claude or Codex as AI coding assistants.
U.S. work authorization and eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
Preferred qualifications include TypeScript or JavaScript, React, Node.js, PyTorch, Python FastAPI, CesiumJS, faster-than-real-time simulation, Slackbot integrations, and machine learning model deployment experience.
A preferred qualification is a Master's or PhD, or 2–3+ years of professional machine learning experience.

Benefits

Base salary range of $190,000–$252,000 USD.
