Responsibilities

Design intuitive, high-performance interfaces for real-time drone control, video streaming, and mission management.
Collaborate with autonomy, firmware, cloud, and product teams to translate complex capabilities into reliable user experiences.
Architect and build features spanning C++ autonomy libraries, Android applications, JNI/NDK, Kotlin UI, and cloud services.
Use AI-powered agentic workflows for automated testing, code generation, and developer tooling.
Own end-to-end product outcomes with a focus on operator needs, reliability, performance, and usability.
Mentor engineers and improve software quality, system design, and user-centric engineering practices.

Requirements

At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience.
Substantial experience with Android AOSP and Android development using Kotlin and Java, with some C++ experience preferred.
Deep experience with Android NDK and JNI, including production native libraries.
Proficiency with Kotlin and the modern Android ecosystem, including Coroutines, Jetpack/Architecture Components, and Gradle.
Experience with graphics APIs such as Vulkan, OpenGL ES, or Metal.
Strong debugging and profiling skills across native and managed code, including ASan, Perfetto, and Android Studio profilers.
Experience with low-latency network communication using UDP, WebRTC, or custom protocols.
Proficiency in Linux development environments.
Experience shipping mobile applications integrated with IoT devices or robots is preferred.
Experience with Bazel, Android platform/framework development, video codecs, camera pipelines, or real-time media processing is preferred.
FAA Part 107 certification is strongly encouraged within the first 60 days and required for certain positions.

Annual base salary range of $190,000-$250,000.
