Senior Software Engineer (Python), Mortgage in USA

Responsibilities

  • Independently solve problems and deliver high-quality software with minimal or high-level oversight.
  • Collaborate with customers and internal stakeholders to clarify product needs and ship impactful features.
  • Partner with engineering, product, design, and other stakeholders to design and architect new features.
  • Validate customer needs, gain team alignment, and ship rapid MVPs.
  • Deliver performant, reliable, scalable, and secure code.
  • Instrument and deploy product experiments using a data-driven approach.
  • Monitor, investigate, triage, and resolve production issues for team-owned services.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of software development experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education or training.
  • Proficiency in Python and JavaScript or similar languages and frameworks.
  • Experience developing RESTful APIs.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ownership from feature design through production release.
  • Willingness to collaborate with external stakeholders.
  • Eagerness to learn, collaborate, improve, and innovate.
