Senior Software Engineer, Trust in Others

Responsibilities

  • Build and continuously improve machine-learning systems, product integrations, and performance optimizations using large-scale structured and unstructured data.
  • Collaborate with software engineering, product management, operations, and data science partners to identify opportunities, prioritize AI/ML requirements, make engineering decisions, and quantify impact.
  • Work with Trust Defense and platform teams to address evolving fraud attacks and other trust and safety challenges.
  • Productionize and operate AI/ML solutions and pipelines at scale for batch and real-time use cases.
  • Build observability for AI systems with metrics, logging, traces, automated alerting, dashboards, and SLO management.
  • Lead, mentor, challenge, and grow a collaborative AI/ML engineering culture.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of industry experience in backend or platform engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • BE/B.Tech, preferably in Computer Science, or equivalent qualification.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or an equivalent language, plus data structures and algorithms and solid data engineering foundations.
  • Understanding of machine-learning best practices, including training/serving skew minimization, A/B testing, feature engineering, and feature/model selection.
  • Knowledge of machine-learning algorithms and domains including gradient-boosted trees, neural networks/deep learning, optimization, natural language processing, computer vision, personalization and recommendation, and anomaly detection.
  • Experience with at least three of TensorFlow, PyTorch, Kubernetes, Spark, Airflow, Kubeflow, Kafka, Ray, and Hive.
  • Experience building end-to-end machine-learning infrastructure and/or productionizing machine-learning models is preferred.
  • Experience working in large technology product companies and solving real-world problems.
  • Exposure to architectural patterns for large-scale software applications, including well-designed APIs, high-volume data pipelines, efficient algorithms, and models.
  • Experience with test-driven development, A/B testing, incremental delivery, and deployment.
  • Experience in the Trust and Risk domain is preferred.

  • The position is based in India, and the stated base pay range is annualized and inclusive of allowances.
