Senior Software Engineer, Video Streaming in USA

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement efficient video streaming pipelines using state-of-the-art techniques for high-priority real-time data.
  • Build offline streaming simulation and emulation frameworks to iterate on streaming algorithms and predict online performance.
  • Test streaming systems in real-world environments, gather feedback, and drive improvements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to collect on-road network metrics.
  • Build core communication systems and cloud platform capabilities connecting autonomous vehicles and remote operators.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or a closely related field plus 4+ years of relevant industry experience, or a PhD plus 2+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Proficiency in C, C++, and/or Go.
  • Familiarity with TCP/IP, socket programming, congestion control, and related networking concepts.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Video streaming framework experience such as WebRTC is preferred.
  • Understanding of video codecs such as VP8, VP9, H.264, and H.265 is preferred.
