Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day software development and technical support for MES, SCADA, SQL Server, and related manufacturing applications.
Design and maintain manufacturing software solutions, database structures, data pipelines, and application integrations.
Create system designs, UML diagrams, interface specifications, architecture documentation, and support procedures.
Troubleshoot production software issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions to minimize manufacturing downtime.
Develop SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and data integrations for manufacturing operations and analytics.
Support software deployments, configuration updates, system integrations, application enhancements, and system monitoring.
Participate in software validation, verification, and change control processes in regulated manufacturing environments.
Investigate the use of AI tools to accelerate development activities.
Collaborate with IT/OT, R&D, Engineering, Quality, and Production teams across Mesa and San Diego.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline and 5-8 years of related experience, or a master’s degree with 2-5 years of equivalent industry experience, or a PhD with 0-2 years of experience.
5+ years of experience supporting manufacturing or industrial software systems, such as SCADA, LabVIEW applications, C#, or database-driven applications.
Proficiency in SQL and database management, with familiarity with relational databases.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for complex technical issues in fast-paced manufacturing environments.
Understanding of manufacturing processes and production environments, including GMP, lean manufacturing, and Six Sigma principles.
Familiarity with software deployment tools, system monitoring, and version control practices.
Experience collaborating with IT, R&D, Engineering, Quality, and Production teams.
Practical knowledge of manufacturing standards including ISA-95 and FDA regulations such as 21 CFR Part 11.
Preferred experience with software validation and verification of automated systems on the factory floor.
Ability to multitask, prioritize projects, maintain timelines, document technical issues, and communicate with technical and non-technical users.
