Senior Space Embedded Software Engineer in USA

Responsibilities

  • Develop reliable firmware controlling spacecraft, satellite bus, and reentry capsule operations throughout the mission.
  • Own software design, development, testing, integration, verification, and validation.
  • Scope projects by capturing requirements and performing initial design trades for open-ended problems.
  • Write structured C++ software for bare-metal, RTOS-based, and Linux-based embedded processors.
  • Build highly reliable and available software systems.
  • Provide flight operational support and ensure software quality and performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, physics, engineering, or equivalent technical experience in safety-critical software.
  • At least 5 years of experience developing spacecraft or similar safety-critical software.
  • Experience developing and testing real-time embedded hardware and software systems.
  • Experience developing in C++ with a strong understanding of language concepts.
  • Preferred: safety-critical software experience, especially in aerospace applications.
  • Preferred: experience with Python or Rust.
  • Preferred: strong understanding of computer architecture, operating systems, data structures, and computer networking.
