Responsibilities

Develop reliable flight software governing spacecraft, satellite bus, and reentry capsule operations throughout the mission.
Write structured bare-metal, RTOS-based, or Linux-based software for embedded processors in C++.
Own software design, testing, and integration across the development lifecycle.
Scope projects, capture requirements, and perform initial design trades for open-ended problems.
Ensure software quality and performance through testing, verification, and validation.
Collaborate with the team to communicate and solve problems.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, math, physics, engineering, or equivalent technical experience in safety-critical software.
At least five years of experience developing spacecraft or similar safety-critical software.
Experience developing in C++ with a strong understanding of its language concepts.
Preferred: end-to-end spacecraft building and launch experience; real-time embedded systems development and testing; aerospace safety-critical software experience; CCSDS telemetry and telecommand experience; F' or cFS experience; Python or Rust experience; basic analog and digital electronics knowledge; and familiarity with SPI, I2C, CAN, and EtherCAT.

Salary: $169k - $216k/yr
