Senior Staff Deployment Strategist, Operations in USA

  • Palo Alto, CA

Responsibilities

  • Build factory-to-customer visibility for work in progress, first-pass yield, vehicle genealogy, inventory, and shipment status.
  • Develop planning engines for contract-manufacturer purchases and internal assembly, including SKU-by-day material planning, available-to-promise, and build and fulfillment queues.
  • Manage supplier processes including purchase-order confirmations, promise dates, RFQs, design changes, tier-one through tier-three forecasts, and component pricing effectivity.
  • Create visibility into physical transportation from contract manufacturers through third-party logistics providers to customers, including contract-manufacturer system feeds.
  • Close the quality loop across incoming and inline quality, deviations, trends, warranty tracing, and supplier chargebacks into financial systems.
  • Evaluate buy-versus-build decisions by shipping thin operational applications and instrumenting quality, transport, and warehouse processes.
  • Simplify and instrument operational processes before automating them, including undocumented exceptions and system handoffs.
  • Deliver working software rapidly with coding agents and embed with process-owning teams so they can ship their own improvements.
  • Lead through architecture, code, and influence without current direct reports.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience building operations, manufacturing, or supply chain software from zero to production while owning data models and decision logic.
  • Technical degree or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • Daily LLM-native development experience with coding agents such as Claude, plus a method for validating model output through contracts, tests, evaluations, and review.
  • Track record of rapidly putting working software in users’ hands and iterating based on actual usage.
  • Deep SaaS platform expertise integrating QMS, TMS, WMS, or ERP systems into a unified data platform.
  • Fluency in Python, SQL, and APIs, with sufficient physical-operations knowledge to reconcile conflicting data.
  • Ability to earn the trust of unfamiliar teams and move to the next operational constraint after automation is live.
  • Willingness to travel internationally to contract manufacturers in Taiwan when needed.

Benefits

  • Health, dental, and vision insurance covered up to 100% by ALSO, with FSA and HSA options.
  • One Medical membership and dedicated insurance advocates.
  • Fertility and family-building benefits through Progyny.
  • Flexible time off.
  • 401(k) match.
  • Regular onsite presence in Palo Alto, warehouse-floor work, and occasional international travel are part of the role.
