Senior/ Staff Software Engineer in Remote new

Responsibilities

  • Design, extend, and optimize large-scale, highly scalable, fault-tolerant systems processing graph datasets and billions of real-time events.
  • Architect and implement security products that protect customer data.
  • Analyze and resolve scaling, performance, and distributed-systems challenges.
  • Build secure-by-design software that processes untrusted data and communicates with hundreds of thousands of endpoints.
  • Develop backend services using Go, Kubernetes, BigTable, BigQuery, Spanner, Redis, Docker, and Etcd.
  • Build API-level connectors integrating with enterprise SaaS applications when applicable.
  • Collaborate frequently with distributed teams and incorporate direct customer feedback.

Requirements

  • Strong track record building and significantly extending large-scale backends used in production.
  • Experience developing large applications in Go.
  • Experience using databases at very large scale; knowledge of GCP services is a plus.
  • Experience profiling and optimizing distributed code using large databases and streaming platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with microservices and Kubernetes.
  • Strong English verbal and written communication skills.
  • Customer-centric mindset and ability to work effectively in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
