Senior Staff Software Engineer in USA new

Responsibilities

  • Own the technical direction and roadmap for the Developer Infrastructure organization across DevX, TestX, Backend Platform, and Mobile Platform.
  • Lead Bazel-based monorepo build infrastructure, remote build execution, and language-agnostic build optimization.
  • Scale CI/CD pipelines, GitHub repository configurations, pre-merge checks, and test execution infrastructure across the company.
  • Set the technical vision for integration test environments and personal development environments.
  • Drive AI and agentic systems across the software development lifecycle, including intelligent automation and coding agents.
  • Set technical standards for language runtimes, libraries, IDE tooling, and developer environments across Python, Go, TypeScript, Swift, and Android.
  • Partner with engineering leadership and stakeholders on a long-term developer infrastructure roadmap.
  • Mentor senior engineers and raise the technical bar across large engineering organizations.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of software engineering experience with demonstrated Senior Staff, Principal, or Distinguished Engineer-level impact.
  • Deep expertise with Bazel, large-scale monorepo build systems, and remote build execution infrastructure.
  • Experience building and operating CI/CD pipelines at massive scale across multiple languages and complex pre-merge logic.
  • Fluency in Go and/or Python; familiarity with TypeScript, Swift, or Android development environments is preferred.
  • Strong background in distributed systems, Kubernetes, and cloud infrastructure, with AWS preferred.
  • Experience with test infrastructure, integration test environments, or developer environment platforms.
  • Interest in or hands-on experience with agentic AI systems, automated code review, or AI-driven developer productivity.
  • Exceptional technical leadership, communication, influence, mentoring, and organization-wide vision-setting skills.

Salary: $264k - $310k/yr
