Responsibilities

  • Manage incidents, analyze monitoring metrics, generate reports, and take corrective actions.
  • Debug complex application systems and troubleshoot business-impacting issues.
  • Apply operational, cloud, security, logging, alerting, and monitoring best practices to improve system stability and availability.
  • Deploy, run, support, and continuously deliver high-quality software and customer solutions using DevOps practices.
  • Deliver well-tested bug fixes and enhancements to existing codebases.
  • Mentor less experienced peers and junior-level consultants through technical guidance and leadership.
  • Participate in a rotation- and need-based 24x7 support team.
  • Share technical expertise through speaking engagements, open-source contributions, blogs, and other external community activities.

Requirements

  • Experience with Node.js, React, cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, and scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell.
  • Understanding of monolithic, N-tier, layered, microservices, and serverless architectures.
  • Strong debugging, triaging, and code troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with relational databases such as MS SQL, MySQL, or PostgreSQL, as well as relational or non-relational databases.
  • Experience with Docker and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and Azure Pipelines.
  • Experience with application monitoring tools such as Datadog, Prometheus, or Grafana, including metrics, reporting, and corrective actions.
  • Ability to produce high-quality, well-tested bug fixes and enhancements.
  • Comfort with Agile methods such as Scrum and/or Kanban.
  • Ability to advocate for technical excellence, cloud best practices, security practices, and technical change.
  • Strong communication and articulation skills, resilience in ambiguous situations, and willingness to mentor others.
