Senior Tech Specialist, Cloud Engineering in Others

Responsibilities

  • Design, provision, migrate, and support large-scale HPC and distributed computing infrastructure in public cloud environments.
  • Migrate complex, multi-tier applications from on-premises environments to AWS, Azure, or GSP.
  • Participate in operational support, incident management, and problem management for a globally distributed team.
  • Design and operate monitoring and alerting solutions using metrics, logs, and alerts.
  • Troubleshoot infrastructure issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement mitigations.
  • Install, configure, and patch software and operate Linux-based cloud infrastructure.
  • Build and support complex cloud infrastructure programmatically using infrastructure-as-code tooling.
  • Collaborate with Tech Risk, service stakeholders, vendors, and internal customers on security compliance and service operations.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience working with AWS, Azure, and/or GSP.
  • Advanced Kubernetes skills.
  • Expertise in Linux operating system internals and administration.
  • Python and/or Linux Shell scripting skills.
  • Experience with Terraform, Ansible, or other infrastructure-as-code tools.
  • Experience supporting operations, including incident and problem management.
  • Proven experience building and supporting complex cloud infrastructure programmatically.
  • Understanding of observability tooling and concepts, including metrics, logs, and alerts.
  • Experience with Agile and DevOps concepts.
  • Financial industry experience is desired.
  • Knowledge of HPC, clustering, and distributed computing is desired.
